Dear Friends,

In this time of vast possibility and deep disappointment, we want to reach out to all of you who supported marriage equality with our gratitude and our hope for a better future - and to give you a gift to thank you for standing up for marriage equality. We offer "A Thousand Hands (Wedding Song 08)" to all people who love equality, regardless of gender or orientation.

We have been deeply touched by the way that people of all sexual orientations rallied to fight the bigotry of California Proposition 8 and other homophobic ballot measures around the nation. We are greatly inspired by the commitment of couples marrying in the face of intense public opposition, To show our gratitude to those who stand for equality, we chose to record the song early (it will be on our 2009 CD “Avenue”) and post it on our website as a free download.

It would give us great joy to inspire you as you have inspired us. We hope you will download and enjoy the song. And please, feel free to help us get the word out to other deserving supporters of marriage equality.
